Our Philosophy and Approach:

While patients often fixate on techniques—open vs. closed approach, types of instruments, or surgical technologies—what truly matters is the surgeon’s expertise. Techniques are only as effective as the skill and experience of the hands and mind behind them.

We have over 30 years of experience in rhinoplasty (since 1993), with more than 5,000 successful surgeries performed in Yerevan, Armenia. Our individualized strategy combines one or more surgical techniques tailored to each patient’s unique nasal anatomy and breathing function. Piezoelectric devices are used to reduce trauma to surrounding tissues.

Preoperative Planning:

• Detailed consultation to evaluate the patient’s expectations and clinical case
• 3D computer modeling with 80–90% accuracy in simulating final outcomes
• We do not endorse «doll-like» or overdone noses often seen on social media

We may also recommend a cone-beam CT scan to assess intranasal structures and diagnose any additional conditions such as:

• Deviated septum
• Enlarged turbinates
• Sinus disease

When needed, these issues are corrected during the same procedure as aesthetic rhinoplasty.

We also assess:

• Dental and oral health (teeth, gums, lip frenulum)
• Smile dynamics and upper lip position

In cases of active dental inflammation (e.g., pulpitis, gingivitis), treatment must be completed before surgery. If dental implants are required, they can be placed during rhinoplasty under a single anesthesia. Likewise, concerns such as a gummy smile or short upper lip frenulum may be addressed during the same session.

Surgery and Recovery:

• Hospital Stay: 1 day
• Preoperative Testing: Performed one day before surgery
• Observation: 2–3 weeks postoperatively
• Tampons: We use soft, latex intranasal inserts instead of standard packing
• Fixation: We prefer plaster bandages for external support

Patients are advised not to assess their new appearance via selfies, as research from Stanford University and Dr. Paskhover demonstrates that selfie images distort facial proportions by up to 30%. Photos should be taken from a distance of at least 1 meter for accurate representation.

Outcome Evaluation:

While most patients notice visible results within a year, leading surgeons now consider final evaluation between 3 to 6 years post-surgery. In reality, outcomes are highly individual and depend on:

• Surgical technique and extent of intervention
• Skin thickness and nasal anatomy
• Postoperative care and lifestyle
• Whether the procedure is primary or secondary

True assessment of a surgeon’s skill comes 10 years post-surgery, when the long-term quality and stability of the results are fully evident.
