This surgical procedure is performed on the tongue and upper lip to shorten the frenulums. The indications include impaired mobility of the tongue and upper lip, speech disorders, prevention of gingivitis and periodontitis in the frontal area of the upper jaw, and aesthetic purposes to improve the position of the upper lip.
